Well, enough of the book is now revised so that it can go in to a new publisher for consideration. Only the first three chapters are going in, together with a revised summary of the rest, and all the other gubbins that they want with a book proposal. Still, I've done most of the revisions on seven chapters in total, so it's coming along. Hopefully Wiley, the publisher we're sending it to, will like it and get it moving along quickly. They certainly don't currently have any up to date books in this area and they're a big worldwide house, so they seem a sensible choice.

Revision for new publisher
Date: 2006-06-15 12:45 pm (UTC)Also, some of the material was written two years ago now and this subject moves on so fast that it needs updating - particularly for pi9eces where we wrote "at time of writing, the final out come of (court case, legislation...) is undecided" and which has now been decided.
The revisions aren't too horrendous - it's taking me about three hours per chapter to do, but it should make the final manuscript quicker to publish and better overall.
