Weirdness on Campus

When I came in to work yesterday the campus had sprouted these strange little installations all over the place:

When I checked my email, there was a general message which explained them. Any guesses?

Staff may have noticed a variety of constructions, pipes and mysterious cabins blooming briefly in areas across Whiteknights campus this summer. Although they appear to be small modern art installations, they are in fact essential equipment being used in a routine asbestos removal operation in the underground steam ducts (which are part of the University̵7;s heating system). The operation over the summer is part of the ongoing programme to carry out periodic maintenance and repair work to the University infrastructure.
