2013 Typhoon No. 26 will make move through Tokyo area in the next 12-18 hours. It is not seriously dangerous, though will disrupt transport. Luckily for me I have no appointments tomorrow so will just work at home. $WIFE has to go to the office (but has rearranged a meeting outside since her interviewee is not sure of being able to make it in) but she uses the subway to get there, so should be fine.

Stay safe, enjoy the view from the living-room window.

The view of pouring rain, that is. $WIFE and $DAUGHTER just tried to see Tokyo Tower. It's usually (just) visible from $DAUGHTER's room (we can see Skytree from our building but not from our apartment.

You can see Sky Tree from EVERYWHERE in Tokyo. That's what it was built for, after all.

As a child I used to enjoy watching bad weather from safe indoors. I think it was the contrast; just a metre or so of civilisation in the form of bricks and glass between warm dry comfortable "here" and wet stormy 'orrible "out there" and that's the way I liked it.

Hope the roof doesn't spring a leak on you. Cheers.
