LLM Dissertation Submitted!
Jun. 30th, 2005 04:17 pmI've been a bit quiet for the last couple of weeks. That's because I was first trying to clear my desk of things and then (from last Thursday when I finally cleared my desk) I've been writing my LLM Dissertation on "The Road to the EUCD". It went in today. It's only nine months after the original deadline (I had official extensions to the deadline but the most recent one, to today, was noted as a FINAL extension). Anyway, I finished writing it just after midday today and submitted it this afternoon. That's 17,000 words written in six days. Not bad, although a tad slower than my quickest, which was one of the chapters of the book (over 30,000 words in three days).
I'm fairly sure it's at least good enough to get me a pass mark, which is all that's reasonable since mathematically it's impossible for it to pass itself and drag my existing marks on the LLM below the 60% merit mark, and I'd have to get over 90% (unlikely) to push me over the 70% into a Distinction.
So, that's another job done. Now I'm going to fall over for a couple of days.
