autopope in mind when moving on to the next task. This was following up an email from a colleague recommending a couple of books (Yochai Benckler "The Wealth of Networks" and Jack Goldsmith and Tim Wu "Who Controls the Internet?"). Nicely, they come up as a "special offer pair" when you search for "Who Owns the Internet?". Interestingly "Who Controls the Internet" also had:

Date: 2006-05-02 04:32 pm (UTC)I've been thinking for a few years that the computer/net/geek fiction readership is probably larger than traditional SF fandom by a huge margin, as witness the popularity of Neal Stephenson. And Accelerando goes out of its way to push their bottons (as do "The Atrocity Archives" and "The Jennifer Morgue", but in a different way).
If people start calling me a geek author rather than an SF author, I won't be unhappy ...
