Reading:
I finished the extant volumes of The Oversight by Charlie Fletcher. The third was called "The Remnant" which refers to the North American branch of The Oversight. This turned out a little mis-leading as the action remains focussed in Europe/UK/London with a portion of the story in the US, but only a little. I'm liking these a little less as they go on. I'll probably keep an eye out for book 4 (I'm assuming there is one planned since at least one major foreshadowing from book one has not gone anywhere at all). The author seems to be trying too hard to be nasty to the heroes of the story, with multiple mis-steps and mis-chances leaving them believing others of their group to be dead or in grave peril when they're merely in parts unknown. It's OK to do this occasionally but gets repetitious when over-used.

I then moved on to Zen Cho's Sorcerer to the Crown, which I've finished and move on to the sequel. Not bad as Regency fantasy goes. Less of the Regency Romance tropes taking up the plot, though I still prefer the first one of this type that I read (Sorvery and Cecilia).

Watching:
I've caught up on Star Trek Discovery, just as Season 4 is about to end so I'm actually having to wait for the last episode. I've started Star Trek Picard Season 2 which oddly (to me) started a couple of weeks before ST:Discovery finished its current season. Continuing with Agents of SHIELD with $DAUGHTER (just finished the Ghost Rider half-season). We'll probably continue with this until we finish it, but there's also the other multiverse's Naomi which looks like it might be suitable - I watch some but not all of the Arrowverse and this is within that, but not closely linked, I think). Speaking of Arrowverse, I caught up on Season 7 of Legends of Tomorrow. A familiar trope at the end of the season to set up the next one. Not as good as earlier seasons but watchably fun much of the time. Matt Ryan as a new character was interesting, including the "doesn't he remind you of someone" gag. It's been a while since I've seen a show keep an actor on like this just giving them a new character. Also catching up on Batwoman Season 3, another Arrowverse show.

Re-watched the first episode of Archive 81 with $WIFE, but it didn't grab her so we're not watching/re-watching that one. We watched Lovecraft Country together last year on her recommendation and it was good (I probably wouldn't have watched it without her recommendation since the descriptions were poor of what it was - it made it sound like a road trip for a Black Man in 50s US, with some Lovecraftian bits thrown in, but it is much more balanced and the Road Trip is only the first couple of episodes). Still on the hunt for something that we'll both like to watch together. She's very busy with work these days so it has to really interest her to make her watch something in English (more tiring than watching Japanese stuff).
